The tragic ending for Steven Chase Liebler unfolded in a matter of moments that would forever be etched in the memories of those who knew him and the community that mourns him.
On the night of September 6, 2025, at approximately 10:57 PM, Liebler was driving eastbound along Old Cherokee Road in his 2020 Ford SUV.
What began as a routine drive took a disastrous turn when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway in the 1200 block, striking a mailbox in the process.
That seemingly minor collision was the first sign of the trouble to come, as it marked the start of a chain reaction that would end Liebler’s life.
