The shed built in 1901 was crushed instantly when the cement truck hit it, ending its 124-year presence on Sue Bowman’s farm. The truck, driven by David Rittle Jr., veered off Tunnel Hill Road and overturned after hitting the barn, ejecting Rittle from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at Hershey Medical Center despite emergency efforts.

The accident unfolded swiftly. Rittle’s truck, possibly losing control or reacting to an unforeseen obstacle, left the roadway and struck the barn with devastating force.
