Struck on the passenger side by an eastbound vehicle, Marchema Deshannon Williams's car crossed the curb and crashed into an unoccupied vehicle in the O'Reilly Auto Parts parking lot at about 7:13 a.m.

On the morning of Friday, September 12, a tragic traffic collision occurred in Tuscaloosa, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Marchema Deshannon Williams. 


According to reports from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the accident took place around 7:13 a.m. in the parking lot of O'Reilly Auto Parts, located near the intersection of Queen City Avenue and 15th Street. 

The collision involved Williams's vehicle being struck on the passenger side by an eastbound vehicle, which caused her car to cross the curb and ultimately crash into an unoccupied vehicle parked in the lot. 

The incident has deeply affected the local community, and investigations continue as authorities seek to determine the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.

Williams was driving south on Queen City Avenue at the time of the crash. As she was crossing 15th Street, her car was struck on the passenger side by an approaching eastbound vehicle. 

The impact was severe enough to cause her vehicle to lose control, cross the curb, and collide with an unoccupied car parked in the lot. The force of the collision pushed her vehicle into the parking lot, creating a chaotic scene that drew the attention of nearby witnesses and first responders.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. Both drivers involved in the crash were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Williams sustained critical injuries during the collision and was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries
